As we continue to recover from the holiday season, budgets can still be tight. If you are feeling like you need a little break and want to get away but can’t swing a trip right now, think about getting creative with a staycation. There are so many ideas that either cost no money at all or are very inexpensive. Try a few of the ideas below and let us know how it goes!

Spa Day

There are a few options on how you can go about this one. If you have a local spa in your town you can treat yourself one day to a few treatments. To save money and maybe have a little more fun, you can host one at home.

Host a Cooking Night

Invite a few friends or family over to try out those recipes you have been thinking about. If you want to go all out, you can pick a specific cuisine and plan a whole party with decor and drinks.

Be a Tourist

Most of us rush through our day to day lives without realizing what is going on around us. Take some time to explore your town. Check out some historical attractions, museums, or parts of town you never go to.

Try a New Exercise Class

To shake things up, you can try a new exercise class. Most gyms offer a free first class or a trial period. Break out of your comfort zone and go to barre or spin for the first time!

Volunteer

The best way to take a step back from your busy day to day life is to volunteer. Sign up to help out at a local soup kitchen or homeless shelter. This is always a good way to dig deep and be thankful for what we have.
